General knowledge and reasoning preparation for CLAT 2016

CLAT or Common Law Admission Test is a well known test for integrated programmes of law courses. These courses generally include BA LLB extending for a term of 5 years. So, many students who want to pursue law after their class 12 board exams can take help from law coaching in Delhi. Though these coaching centers will provide enough study material for CLAT 2016, there is some topics on which you need to focus more on.
General knowledge preparation for CLAT.
You must remember that preparation of general knowledge for CLAT is very important as it contains 25% or 50 marks of the entire question paper. Here are some tips that can make you well versed with this segment of the paper. Firstly start with reading some good newspapers that is famous in your region like The Hindu or the Times of India or the Telegraph. Apart from that you will also need to subscribe to some competitive magazines such as Competition Master or CSR.

You can vouch for latest news through various websites that provide you with the same. To elucidate on the previous point, you can think of joining a law related website. To name one, you can join the likes of ‘CLAT Guru’ to gain latest updates on general knowledge, legal or not. Lastly, it is advisable to develop the habit of listening to news every day.
Reasoning preparation for CLAT.
The next most important thing to prepare for is the reasoning section of the CLAT question paper. It is generally considered to an easy section containing 45 marks. Nonetheless, some amount of preparation is always necessary. So, firstly, you need to buy a good book complete with all the topics on reasoning that you have to prepare for. You will have to practice a lot as this topic is not that conventional. Going through some sample questions will help you to relieve some doubts. Also, try to solve as many questions as you can. This practice should be done in the minimum time that will be possible.
